A snap to learn yet a challenge to master, the award-winning Blokus makes a game of the kind of strategic planning that gets the wheels of logic turning in the minds of both children and adults. The game begins simply enough with each player picking a color, and then placing a single piece on their corner of the board. Each person then takes turns placing new pieces corner-to-corner with their own (with the goal of getting rid of as many pieces as possible) until the arrangement of pieces blocks anyone from playing additional ones. The 400-square game board comes with 84 colorful pieces and instructions for two to four players. Children as young as five will find this game enjoyable.Awards:
