I got my daughter 2 sets of Wedgits, pink and purple, for Christmas 2009. She was just 2 at the time. She liked using MegaBlocks and Duplos, but I wanted something a little different for her to experiment with. I had seen Wedgits in a few educational toy catalogs and wondered what they were like. After reading all of the reviews, I decided this gift would be perfect. On Christmas morning, she opened Barbies, dolls, dress-up clothes, etc. When she got to the Wedgits, she put down everything else and wanted me to open them immediately. My son, 5, put down what he was opening and was wathcing what we were doing. My husband, son, and daughter spent the rest of the morning configuring different things. Since then I have found my husband (a construction engineer) tinkering with them, even when the kids are no where near them. A great gift that they still play with 8 months later! Don't foget to get the little building board too. It makes it easier for little ones!

This was my "go to" present for all the 3 year olds on my list. Two years later its the one toy I see in everyone's family room--everyone enjoys it.

We purchased the WEDGiTS for our son when he was 2 years old. He loved to build towers and work with us to build the templates in the book. He enjoyed them so much, he asked Santa for another set this year so he could build larger creations. Great educational toy.

My one granddaughter had a widget in pink and loved it so much she did not want to share with her sister. So we bought one in purple. Now both girls are happy.
