Wedgits Design Cards - Wonderful Jan 17, 2009

We bought all three design card sets when we purchased the Explorer Pak and Expansion combo sets. The cards are durable and well designed. Though children will easily learn to create their own designs, the advanced cards are challenging and help them to learn new combinations to incorporate in their future "I-did-it" creations.

 Challenging yes, but not so much for STRONG builders Sep 12, 2011

I bought these for my 9 year old son with the 125 peice explorer pack. I am sure these cards are difficult but my son did not find them overly challenging. He does have a STRONG mind for this kind of thing and was a bit dissapointed they were not so challenging for him. So, if your child is building masterpieces with wedgits allready,and seems to piece these masterpeices together with out much of a problem, he/she may not find these cards too much of a challenge, although like me, YOU or other family members may.

Keeps the interest for older kids Jan 15, 2011

My 3 kids like the cards and they are extending the years our Wedgits can be interesting for them. My 6 year old loves them and even our 10 year has spent some time building with Wedgits again. I followed the recommendation of a previous post to punch holes in the cards and put them on rings. I think is helping us to care for them better. We have the Expanman set and the cards work well with this set.

I bought three different sets of these "Design Cards" with that big Explorer Wedgit set.
BEST BUY for children.
My two and four year old will spend hours sitting there trying to make these shapes. Some of them are difficult (even for me), but at least they are sitting there trying. Incredible part is that this simple toy can keep toddlers attention for more then 20 minutes. Other toys, they will play a couple mins then move on.
The Wedgits themself are VERY durable - unless you take a hammer to them, they will last a long time (have had the starter set for over a year now). The Design Cards are "CARDS". I had no expectation of them lasting so am not dissappointed that they get bent, torn, wet, dirty, and whatever my kids do to them.
