5Old Fashioned Fun  Jan 07, 2010
By Melanie Johnson
I bought this for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas. I also have a home daycare, so I am always looking for fun, durable, quiet, and non battery operated toys for my daycare kids. This fits the bill. The 3 year olds have a little bit of a hard time getting them to spin, but enjoy the older ones spinning them and just sitting back and watching. Also made environmentally friendly.

4Cute game!  Feb 11, 2011
By Robin Kuppusamy "Love to Shop"
I bought this for my boys so their dad could play this with them. Bad idea on my part because my husband wasn't into it. I thought it would get him to share some if his Indian culture with his sons. Alas, that didn't pan out. But, the boys still do play with this. And, it's held up great. I have no complaints in the design or quality. I'm picky and this was top notch quality. No broken pieces or chunks missing. Pretty big in the house full of three boys all under four.

I did deduct a star, just because I didn't feel it came as marketed. The box it came in was a little wacky. It was really thin and marked up. Not a big deal, but again it was an Easter gift...and it looked abused before out of the packaging. (Even my husband asked about it and went on ranting, you spent how much on a toy that looks used? Usually, he doesn't even care what I purchase.)

4Nice tops  Jun 05, 2010

These are nice tops that seem to spin okay for a set. The box it comes in is great for play and storage so all the tops have a place. The colors are great in person and so far it's held up to my sons usage.

4Spinning tops  May 30, 2010

These tops are brightly painted and easy to spin. The box is a thin wooden small box with a rounded recessed playing field in the middle to keep the spinning tops from flying off the top. This toy is nice for kids who like to watch things spin (ASD or PDD like my son) and it a bit more appropriate vs maybe spinning lego blocks. Naturally my son LOVES this toy.

You will want to make sure these are put away after played with since a) they hurt like the dickins when you step on them and b) the top spindle that you use to spin the tops are a little thin and look as though they could easily snap off.

Included are instructions for a basic top game. We did not find it interesting so skipped that.
