Wonderful toy for many ages and levels-ended bedtime drama for us Jul 31, 2009
By J. Schaub Very durable-delayed child has thrown this across the room twice and it still works. Played with every day and the batteries last for quite awhile. It can be programed to whatever level your child is at and changed as they get older or want a something new. Easy to understand all words to songs and stories and is not unpleasant like some toys. I have purchased a spare just in case this one breaks because my child would be heartbroken without it.

Smart E Cat Feb 08, 2009
By Ann Lewis My granddaughter loves it. The only problem that we can find with it is that you have to press either the cat's hand or foot every time you have to make the decision to hear the same song or story again or to hear or do something else. That is a bit tiresome. Otherwise, it is great! You do pay about .99 for additional songs that you want added to your Smart E Pet, but, it is worth it. There are hundreds to choose from. You can also delete songs that you don't want on it right now. They will stay in a playlist on the website to put on the cat whenever you want.
Fabulous toy! Jan 15, 2010

We bought this for our four year old daughter's birthday, and it has been a HUGE hit. Even my 5 and 7 year old sons love it! For people who are concerned about paying extra for more content, in my opinion that shouldn't be a deterrent for buying this product. It comes with a LOT of free content, and there is even more free stuff that you can download. You can even have it say your child's name for free!
There are only a few things that annoy me about this toy. First, there isn't a way to pause the stories. Some of the stories are fairly long, and it would be nice to somehow be able to pause them. And second, it would be nice if it had an "off" button that wasn't inside the toy. I feel like it wastes the batteries to just have to wait for it to turn itself off every time.
I'd recommend it in a heartbeat though. It's cuddly and lovable and a huge hit in our home.

I bought this for my 21 month old daughter. She loves the songs, but some of the other options are still a little to old for her (Simon Says). She loves to carry the toy around and I think that when she begins learning more words this will be a wonderful asset to her education.

By Nana I purchased these toys for 2 of my grandchildren. I don't know the extent of the educational value as of yet, but I do know that it is something they enjoy spending time with. It is extremely cuddly and soft. NO danger of injury that I can see. Great interactive toy that challenges their ability to follow directions and increase many skills. Would recommend it highly. You will have to wait for their parents review for ease of computer components.
