Went ahead and gave my son and daughter in law a little side presents early; this one being my daughter in law's Christmas present; and with coloring pencils and now with 2 books, left with decisions, decision, decisions.
Had great difficulties in deciding which one she should start first, in spite of my warnings it's easier said than done!
I'm impressed with the quality of paper which had improved over the years, reducing the glare. However, it is challenging and you can find yourself trapped "in the hole" as my daughter in law just found that out for herself.
Great quality of paper; works with all media however, I would recommend if you use coloring ink pens to at least have a smooth cardboard under the design as to prevent bleeding through just in case. This book makes you really think; putting your creative skills to work and deploy.
With those with pencils, it's excellent for shading and blends; for those who are extremists going to mixed media with multiple variants of medias - would be quite a feat indeed!
But be careful ... you might find yourself ending up "in a hole"!
