Wonderful and educational craft kit for little kids Jan 24, 2010

My son just turned three and loves this kit. He did the rocket right away out of the box and completed it in one setting. The self stick pieces are easy enough for a older toddler younger preschooler to peel and manipulate all by themselves, and helps refine fine motor skills. To create he mosaic (thre are 5 different ones in the kit), the child matches color and shape to the design on the board. A wonderful hand/eye coordination activity and reinforcement of shapes and colors. The finished product is really pretty and the cardboard is sturdy enough to keep up on the wall for a long time. The kit comes with self stick hangers too, for just that purpose. I will be looking for more kits like this to take on trips, restaurants, and playdates. A++

This toy was a wonderful concept! It was given to my not quite yet three year old as a gift. It works fine motor skills by making his hands peel off and manipulate small stickers. It teaches colors and shapes, by making him hunt and match stickers to the board. We have even practiced counting...how many red triangles are you going to need for this section? I was surprised at how focused my child was while doing this project. He got through 2/3 of it before he had enough.

My 3.5 year old loves this project. He sat still for a good 20 minutes to finish the train picture. I peeled the foam stickers and he placed them on the correct spots. He really enjoyed this. My son typically prefers projects that are similar to this. He really isn't into open ended art projects. So this was perfect for him. He is so proud of the finished work!

I purchased this for my 5yo son this past x-mas. He loves working on these things. The colors are bright and the concept is easily enough understood that he can do it on his own. It seems to be good for his color and shape recognitions as well as hand-eye cordination. When he is done he has a cool piece of art that he is proud to display. I believe the kit contains something to help hang the art as well. Overall great little craft project for young ones that doesn't break the bank or make a big mess.

My son is 4 1/2 years old and he did this sticty mosaic for the first time with his older cousins: 8 and 11 years old. They kept him more focused and was something fun plus interactive for the kids to do together while warming up from playing in the cold outside.
