100% recycled and sturdy disc Jun 07, 2009
By J. Erik Gray

Bought this disc last week and really like it. It is made of recycled milk jugs. It is very sturdy and flies great. And it is made in the USA.
Did you know that each pound of recycled material saves energy equal to 3,000 AAA batteries!?

Great EcoSaucer Jun 26, 2009

I really loved that this was made from recycled milk jugs and that it was made in the USA. It is very sturdy. All the other frisbees we have had have broken because they are flimsy. This is definitely not. It flies well and our kids love it.

Excellent 'Green" Frisbee Apr 05, 2010
By goonius Like all toys by the company Green Toys, this frisbee is made from recycled, food-grade HDPE, which makes it a safer, environmentally-friendly plastic. It is also made in California, so buying this toy supports workers paid fairer wages than, say, a China-made frisbee. Every frisbee I've seen in the stores is made in China.
The frisbee itself is attractive, with an embossed design instead of paint. HDPE is an extremely durable plastic, so no worries about this one breaking. We have a number of Green Toys, and they have all endured abuse without any ill effects.
Another reviewer mentioned how hard the plastic is, and that it makes his hands hurt thinking about it. I wasn't aware frisbees weren't supposed to be hard, but then I'm no pro frisbee player. It is a fairly hard plastic but can be bent with a wee bit of effort. I don't have any difficulty throwing it. It flies high and far, and I've not yet developed carpal tunnel from it, although I must confess I don't play for more than a few minutes at a time with my young children.
As always, I love that Green Toys has offered a more environmentally sound, safe option for this classic, simple, fun toy. I'm very pleased with it.

Great frisbee for me Jan 08, 2012
By Michael I purchased this Frisbee because I needed something to contain my goods on. The Frisbee allows my to put my pipe on, and when I load it up with tobacco if I happen to spill the tobacco it catches it all so I don't feel like I wasted it. I don't use this for throwing. I use it for keeping my work space clean of tobacco.
Too warped to fly Jan 29, 2012
By Mom to Three Beach Bums I really wanted to like this disc because it is made from recycled plastic. However, both the original disc that was shipped to me and the replacement disc were so warped that they simply would not fly well. They wobbled instead of flying in a straight line. When you are throwing it with a 7-year-old, a wobbly, warped disc is a real fun-killer since the disc never made it to its intended target in either direction. The idea of a recycled plastic disc was great, the execution of the disc was not.
