5Good Educational toy  Jan 02, 2011
By horsewoman
I bought this Educational Toy for my 10 & 8 year old granddaughters at different times. It's easy to use and very educational. They both have younger brothers who they help play the game. On Christmas morning everyone in the family was playing with my 8 year old granddaughter. When you buy it remember the cards are included and you don't need to buy extra cards. Everything you need is in the box.

48-year Enjoys it Most  Jul 10, 2011
By Michelle Albanese
I purchased this for my children, a boy 8 and a daughter almost 10. My son seems to enjoy it the most. It is not terribly high-tech, but they do learn things. It works by inputting the card number into the laptop and lights blink on the sides of the cards where terms or titles are listed. The picture on the card has numbers and you type in the number that corresponds with the word beside the blinking light. For example, a card of geographical features lists things like Island, Peninsula, Plain, Cape, Cove, etc. and the picture has numbers pointing to various geographical features so the child has to type in the number to match the definition with the pictured landform. So low tech, but they enjoy it. It doesn't talk but beeps when the answer given is wrong. There is a +/- key to adjust the volume. One or two can play.

The cards are included and it only takes batteries (AA). I stupidly purchased the AC Adapter that comes up under "other things you might be interested in" and there is nowhere to plug it into the laptop. The older version of the laptop for younger kids does use an adapter.

5DON'T BUY FROM TOY SOUP  Dec 10, 2007
By R. Brummel "Flannery"
The toy is fine, however the seller is NOT. I ordered two lap tops and needed to return one. I have emailed and called because THEY WILL NOT LET YOU RETURN AN ITEM WITHOUT A RETURN NUMBER. After two weeks, I still have not received a response. They also have a policy that items cannot be returned after thirty days. . . no wonder they take their time responding. I will NEVER buy from toy soup again.

5Grandson is happy!  Jan 30, 2012

My grandson is loving this, he is learning so much! He is just 8 years old, so this will keep him busy for a little while yet.

5geosafari laptop review  Jan 03, 2012
By mmkross
I got this for my son because he used the table top version at school and asked for it. I chose the laptop version so he can play in the car (no DVD watching in my van!) since we take a lot of road trips. I've even had fun playing it myself.
