I home school my son. I bought this so I could not only discuss the senses, but explain the parts of the ear and what each part does. It is a really good product! It is made of a foam and it is sturdy. I don't have to worry about it breaking in a move (we move a lot). I highly recommend this product as well as the one for they eye, the brain, the cell, and any other visual aid model that this company makes! If My son attended public school, I would probably gift a few to the class because it is that valuable a learning tool!
