4simple is better  Apr 21, 2008
By Super Coop
My 3 and 2 yr old grandsons love this old fashioned toy. They
sit and watch it for hours. I can remember as a child watching the
figures go by. A simple joy that captivates and builds imagination.
They don't seem to lose interest in it,and don't have to wait long
before it is their turn, so they play together peacefully. Worth it!

4Spins Great  Jan 07, 2009

My granddaughter is very rough and the fact that this top is metal is very good. She loves it. She has enjoyed carrying it while spinning.

5Durable  May 17, 2008
By Mary Mags
It's a good solid toy. My child enjoys it. it makes a train-like sound when goes really fast. It is a very
NON-frustrating toy, as it is easy to use, interesting to watch and hard to break.

1Bought two, both broke almost immediately  Jan 24, 2009
By Diane LeBold
These are a great idea, but the quality is really lousy. I bought two tops for Christmas -- one for each of my toddler grandsons. They were great and the boys really liked them. Unfortunately, the first one stopped working about three days after Christmas -- when you push down on the handle, the handle just drops down inside and doesn't spin the top. The second one lasted until about a week after New Year, then the same thing happened. When I was a kid, we had a top (by a different manufacturer) that lasted forever. I think it was still working when I was a young adult -- so there's no reason for these to have broken other than bad quality control. I plan to write to the manufacturer, but meanwhile, I wouldn't recommend spending the money on these things.

3not a real "top"  Dec 29, 2008
By J. Ochoa "shopmo"
Everything about this top is good except that it isn't a "real" top. It spins and does everything a top should do...except it is on a stand that keeps it upright all the time. I would have preferred a top that spins on the ground even though it is a little harder for kids to use.
