 So cute, but so disappointed! May 13, 2011

My son really wanted these, so I bought the hornet pair as part of his birthday present. He was so excited to try them on, only to find out that they didn't fit his 4 year old head. They were too tight and he started to cry because he tried to jam them on his little face. The little lenses on the inside fell out after about 2 days (my son was still trying them, hoping they would fit). Such a huge disappointment, as I expect better quality from a good company like Insect Lore.

My son is 5 & he REALLY wanted these for Christmas, so we put them in his stocking. I know that it says ages 6-9, but my son is big for his age- he wears a size 7. Anyway, they wouldn't stay on his face! They kept falling off- they seem too front heavy & bulky- and the little disks inside that make them see like a bug fell off in no time (like, the first day!).
BIG Disappointment! I would have sent them back if we hadn't thrown away the packaging.

I bought this and the ant one for my boys for Christmas last year or the year before. They're hilarious but they're for very small heads. Think age 6 or younger, and not if they have round heads! We all tried them on to see the effect of looking through the special glass, and it was very cool. We all also looked quite silly with them on, and the kids especially had fun laughing at us adults.
